The RennStand by Safe Jack
Rennen means RACE in German. The patented Rennstand is revolutionary because it solves the problem of jacking and supporting in the right spot. It allows jacking and supporting using interchangeable jack pads designed for the vehicle. It’s easy, sets up in seconds and it is safer for the vehicle and the operator. It can be used with most floor/ trolley jacks. The 18M-RS3 is rated for 3 tons. Use with jacks that are up to 12 inches wide (Most floor jacks). The Rennstand can extend to more than 16 inches.
Safe Jack products make common jacks uncommonly safe. Always use caution when jacking a vehicle. Use wheel chocks Follow vehicle manufacturers jacking instructions. We cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. The operator must understand that common sense and caution are factors, which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.

Frequently Asked Questions
Thank you for inquiring about the Rennstand. We have been getting a lot of attention with the Rennstand and there have been a lot of the same questions asked. I am going to do my best to cover all of the most asked questions. If you have a question that is not answered here, please let us know and we will get back to you.
Q1: How much will the Rennstand support?
A1: We have rated the Rennstand for 3 tons US or 2,722 KG. and each of the quick release pins holding it together are rated for 9000 lbs each. If your vehicle weighs 5000 lbs. the most you would support with one jack or jack stand is half of that since the vehicle is also supported by it’s tires or other jack stands that share the weight. A 5000 lb vehicle might put as much as 2500 lbs on a jack stand and that is only 62% of the stands rating. The more stands, the lower the loading on each stand because they are sharing the load. In addition, the stands are all tested in accordance with ASME standards to at least 150% of the rated load(9,000 lbs.) but please do not exceed the 6,000 lb. load rating for safety sake.
Q2: How low will it go?
A2: The Rennstand adds approximately 1.9 inches or 50 MM to the lowest setting of your jack including the jack pad. The lowest setting while on its legs is 11.5 inches or 292 MM.
Q3: How high will it go?
A3: The Rennstand will go to roughly 16.5 inches or 419 MM. We have plans to produce other versions that will go higher for lifted vehicles.
Q4: Do you have a heavier duty unit?
A4: Currently we do not but a heavier 4 or 5 ton unit and even a 10 ton unit are planned.
Q5: Distribution? Do you have dealers in the UK, Australia, Canada, South America, etc?
A5: Currently we have one distributor in Australia (ProQuip). We are open to having distribution but currently all orders ship direct from our facilities in Washington State, USA.
Q6: What size floor jack will fit under the Rennstand?
A6: The jack can not be wider than the space between the legs. The Rennstand will accept floor jacks that are up to 12 inches or 305 MM wide. Luckily, that is wider than all the jacks we measured.
Q7: What vehicles does the Rennstand fit?
A7: That’s a tough one because there are so many different vehicles and variations from year to year. We will be adding jack pads to our product line as we are able to. We sell the standard Rennstand with a pinchweld pad, commonly used on many cars. We will have additional pads available soon for a variety of models. The next pads that will be made available are pads for the Porsche, Tesla S, most Audi, VW Gulf, Jetta, New Beetle, Passat, MINI, BMW and Corvette. These pads will be available for purchase soon. As soon as we feel the product is ready, we will put them up for sale on the web site and announce the launch on Face Book.
Q8: Fitment? How much room is required to place the stand?
A8: You will need at least 5.5 inches or 140 MM of clearance from the center of the jack point to any obstruction in order to safely place the Rennstand. You will need 2.1" plus the height of your jack to place the Rennstand under your vehicle.
Q9: How big are the included pads?A8: Here are some dimensions on the included pad.
Safe Jack with Model 3 adapter works perfectly.
The entire process of jacking and supporting your car exactly where the manufacturer wants it supported is as easy as one -two- three with the Rennstand safe jack.
One of the biggest challenges with a modern Challenger (pun intended) is safely supporting the rear of the car. There are plenty of pinch weld adapter work-arounds, and a few jack stands that work with the round lift pads, but none looked to be as safe as I would have felt comfortable crawling under. Enter the RennStand. The best jack stand point on these cars is, as the advertising claims, also the best spot for the jack. This unit does the job very well in meeting my safety concerns.
I ordered two, so I will be able to completely lift either the front, rear, or either side for maintenance and modification work. While I expected the units to be sturdy, I was surprised at how much more stout they turned out to be. The assembled base has a wider footprint than most jack stands, making the RennStand very stable. Even at the lowest height, it was more than enough clearance to remove a wheel and safely work under the car. I can't imagine needing the full height, but there is plenty of room to go up. The stands break down to a pretty flat profile, so there are a lot of storage options to meet space restrictions, which was a nice and semi-unexpected feature.
Yes, they are a little pricey, but between other quality pinch weld adapters and jack stands that work with the Challenger lift pads, or even low-profile ramps, the price point becomes moot, IMO. These stands are a welcome addition to my garage.
Nice jack but expensive
I've been backyard mechanicking since high school. It was the omly way I could afford to have a car in college. I've done everything from changing lightbulbs to frme-off rebuilds. Rennstands are the best jack stands I've ever used. The fit and finish is excellent. The function is outstanding. The quality is unsurpassed. I wish I had stands like these 30 years ago. If you're spending any amount of money on some other jack stand, you're wasting your money.
I used four to lift my car to replace an exhaust system. I wish the rest of the parts performed as well as these stands. It was so nice to be able to move around under the car and not constantly worry if something was going to shift or move every time I needed to loosen or torque a bolt. With these, the car sat rock solid and let me work without having to pussyfoot around every time I moved.
When cars had frames, jackstand placement was easy. Today, you're never quite sure what you can put a stand under without risking punching a hole through something that wasn't strong enough. And if you stick to using the suspension, axels and such, then it's often impossible to work on those components. With Rennstands, the car body is supported in the only non-suspension spots the manufacturer built strong enough to support it: the jack points. The car is secure and the stand is out of the way of nearly every mechanical part under the car (unless you're replacing rocker panels). It just doesn't get any better.
