The RennStand by Safe Jack
Each RS3 includes an 18M-P04 universal pinchweld pad
Rennen means RACE in German. The patented Rennstand is revolutionary because it solves the problem of jacking and supporting in the right spot. It allows jacking and supporting using interchangeable jack pads designed for the vehicle. It’s easy, sets up in seconds and it is safer for the vehicle and the operator. It can be used with most floor jacks having a lift saddle of 3 inches in diameter or larger. The 18M-RS3 is rated for 3 tons. Use with jacks that are up to 12 inches wide (Most floor jacks). The Rennstand can extend to more than 16 inches.
Safe Jack products make common jacks uncommonly safe. Always use caution when jacking a vehicle. Use wheel chocks Follow vehicle manufacturers jacking instructions. We cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. The operator must understand that common sense and caution are factors, which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.

Frequently Asked Questions
Thank you for inquiring about the Rennstand. We have been getting a lot of attention with the Rennstand and there have been a lot of the same questions asked. I am going to do my best to cover all of the most asked questions. If you have a question that is not answered here, please let us know and we will get back to you.
Q1: How much will the Rennstand support?
A1: We have rated the Rennstand for 3 tons US or 2,722 KG. and each of the quick release pins holding it together are rated for 9000 lbs each. If your vehicle weighs 5000 lbs. the most you would support with one jack or jack stand is half of that since the vehicle is also supported by it’s tires or other jack stands that share the weight. A 5000 lb vehicle might put as much as 2500 lbs on a jack stand and that is only 42% of the stands rating. The more stands, the lower the loading on each stand because they are sharing the load. In addition, the stands are all tested in accordance with ASME standards to at least 150% of the rated load(9,000 lbs.) but please do not exceed the 6,000 lb. load rating for safety sake.
Q2: How low will it go?
A2: The Rennstand adds approximately 1.9 inches or 50 MM to the lowest setting of your jack including the jack pad. The lowest setting while on its legs is 11.5 inches or 292 MM.
Q3: How high will it go?
A3: The Rennstand will go to roughly 16.5 inches or 419 MM. We have plans to produce other versions that will go higher for lifted vehicles.
Q4: Do you have a heavier duty unit?
A4: Currently we do not but a heavier 4 or 5 ton unit and even a 10 ton unit are planned.
Q5: Distribution? Do you have dealers in the UK, Australia, Canada, South America, etc?
A5: Currently we have one distributor in Australia (ProQuip). We are open to having distribution but currently all orders ship direct from our facilities in Washington State, USA.
Q6: What size floor jack will fit under the Rennstand?
A6: The jack can not be wider than the space between the legs. The Rennstand will accept floor jacks that are up to 12 inches or 305 MM wide. Luckily, that is wider than all the jacks we measured.
Q7: What vehicles does the Rennstand fit?
A7: That’s a tough one because there are so many different vehicles and variations from year to year. We will be adding jack pads to our product line as we are able to. We sell the standard Rennstand with a pinchweld pad, commonly used on many cars. We will have additional pads available soon for a variety of models. The next pads that will be made available are pads for the Porsche, Tesla S, most Audi, VW Gulf, Jetta, New Beetle, Passat, MINI, BMW and Corvette. These pads will be available for purchase soon. As soon as we feel the product is ready, we will put them up for sale on the web site and announce the launch on Face Book.
Q8: Fitment? How much room is required to place the stand?
A8: You will need at least 5.5 inches or 140 MM of clearance from the center of the jack point to any obstruction in order to safely place the Rennstand. You will need 2.1" plus the height of your jack to place the Rennstand under your vehicle.
Q9: How big are the included pads?A8: Here are some dimensions on the included pad.
Customer ReviewsWrite a review
So I’m not big on reviews , however people and prospective buyers need to know how great these are . I’m not gonna lie I was a little doubtful because of all the components however WOW is all I have to say ... I purchased just one set for the front of the vehicle ,wish I had bought 2 , but mostly all vehicles have a very accessible rear center jacking point to lift vehicle and use standard jacks in the rear . I used them this past weekend to rotate tires on my wife’s pilot and also on my accord . Both worked out flawless with no fear as I normally have on all 4 standard jack stands. There is one downside , but not a fault of the product . If your vehicle is lowered as mine is , depending on your jack height you may have difficulty getting it under the car. I have a low profile jack and could not get it under the car with the piece for the pinchwelds. Again not a design flaw or product issue as clearance has always been tight for my car .. so to add to someone’s negative review, I have always used 2x6’s under the front tires to get clearance and this time I did the same and there was no problem at all ... if you own a lowered car we all know it could be a headache to jack up , but that headache comes with or without these jack stands . In my opinion these are the best and safest stands available. A tiny bit on the pricier side however you cannot put a price on safety. Thumbs up to the designers and product engineers of this product.
Are my pics upside down? I don’t know why that happened.
Anywho, these are great. I followed them from when they originally came out under the Renn Stand name and site.
I finally caved on the price and invested after coming to terms with the fact that the majority of cars now are unibody pinch weld lifted.
Used them on the 07 Accord pictured in my uneven imperfect driveway. Had no issues at all. Gave the car a few good shakes while it was on the stands before I started working. It does give up a little more side to side motion then traditional stands, but if it’s on level ground I don’t see it being an issue.
These beat the hell out of juggling jack and stand positions. It was a long time coming, but we’ve finally received the jack stands we needed when they redesigned cars back when. So much easier.
I have received this jack stand in excellent condition. It is so easy and convenient to use and saves so much time and frustration. I used to jack up the rear of the car to be able to put the regular stand on front, just to not damage the underside of car. I no longer need to do that thanks to Safe Jack. Highly recommended.
Put the bar on your jack and clip the stands on and off you go so easy to use. Should have bought two of them.
I used these with a Pittsburg 3 ton low profile rapid pump floor jack (get this at Harbor Freight). You need to buy four jacks if you want to fully jack the entire car. If you want to just say do tire rotation, I think you can get away with one RennStand and use a spare tire as an intermediary (haven't tried).
The RennStand adapter for the Tesla (fits S and 3/X as well I believe) you need to buy separately and is required. The adapters fit on top of the RennStand and lift into the Tesla jack points (of which there are 4, one near each of the tires). One the Tesla S, each jack point has 3 holes. You want to fit the adapter into the middle hole. The adapter fits nicely into the Pittsburg. You have to pump the floor jack slowly in order to align with the middle hole of the Tesla jack point. Then pump up as high as you need. Then you put the jack stand legs into the jack stand, secure with the provided small metal rods. The stand seems very stable. I was able to jack the car up quickly and rotate tires myself. The jack stand feet look snug and secure on the concrete floor of my garage and they don't damage the concrete.
My only concern is if I were to use multiple of these RennStands (I bought 4), that the lifting up of the vehicle would cause the other stands to not be flush with the car jack point and then when coming down again may not be aligned and damage the car. Need to contact Safe Jack on what the best practice is for using multiple RennStands.
