Jacking the Dodge ProMaster
Original Equipment Jacks are junk. I don’t care what kind of vehicle; the jacks are made as cheaply as possible. They fill the storage space, but when you really need it, will it do the job? It might work if the van is empty and, on a level, hard surface. It might work if it’s not a conversion van. The other thing about the ProMaster is the jack points are unique to the ProMaster. To safely lift a ProMaster, you need a jack pad that will engage the jack point and distribute the load over the face of the jack point.
The only system that I know which provides safety for the operator and protection for the vehicle is the SAFE JACK brand gear. Start with the basic 37M-BB8 six-ton jack kit and add the 37M-SJPROM-P jack pad. The jack pad fits the prescribed Jack points, and the basic jack kit includes the universal pads to engage the rear axle or springs if need be. It’s simple, powerful and it does the job.
If you are using a ProMaster conversion van or hauling cargo, you need this jack.
