  • The "Big Three" Upgrade: Consider upgrading your vehicle's core ground paths—the battery to the chassis, the battery to the engine block, and the engine block to the chassis.
  • Ditch the Paint: When mounting a ground, grind away the paint or powder coat down to bare metal. A star washer can help bite through to a solid connection.
  • Seal Out Corrosion: Moisture and road salt love to creep into ground connections. Use heat-shrink tubing with adhesive lining and protective sealants to keep your connections clean for years to come.
  • Match Your Gauges: Ensure your ground wires match the gauge (thickness) of your power supply wires.
